1. Performance and use
Ethylene glycol butyl ether is one of the important derivatives of ethylene oxide (EO). It is a green and environmentally friendly solvent, a colorless liquid with a molecular weight of 118.17, a distillation range of 163-174 ℃, not easily volatile, a relative density of 0.9019, a boiling point of 171.1 ℃, and a flash point of 60.5 ℃. It is toxic and miscible with hydrocarbon solvents such as water and flaxseed oil. It has strong solubility for synthetic rubber and is suitable as a solvent for natural rubber and synthetic rubber. It is also used as a solvent for rosin, cordyceps, shell resin, oxyindene resin, ethyl fiber, and nitric acid fiber.
Used as a solvent for paints and inks, a component of metal cleaning agents, and a raw material for dye dispersants
Mainly used as a solvent for nitrocellulose, spray paint, quick drying paint, varnish, enamel, and paint remover. It can also be used as a fiber wetting agent, pesticide dispersant, resin plasticizer, and organic synthesis intermediate. Reagents for measuring iron and molybdenum. Improve emulsification performance and use auxiliary solvents to dissolve mineral oil in soap solution.
