1.Performance and use:
Hydroxyethyl methacrylate is mainly used for modification of resins and coatings. It can be copolymerised with other acrylic monomers to produce acrylic resins with active hydroxyl groups in the side chain, esterification and cross-linking reactions, synthesis of insoluble resins and improvement of adhesion, and it can be used as a fibre treating agent and so on. It can be used as fibre treatment agent, etc. It can react with melamine-formaldehyde (or urea-formaldehyde) resin, epoxy resin, etc., and be used to make two-component paint. It can be added into the paint of high-class cars to keep mirror luster for a long time. Plastic industry for the manufacture of acrylic esters containing active hydroxyl groups. It is used in epoxy resin, diisocyanate, melamine formaldehyde resin and other configurations to make two-component coatings in the coating industry. It is used as additive for lubricating oil washing in grease industry. Used as dewatering agent for electron microscope in electronic industry. Textile industry for the manufacture of fabric adhesive. Used as chemical reagent in analytical chemistry.
