Acrylamide is a white crystalline chemical substance used as a raw material for the production of polyacrylamide
Solid acrylamide (AM) is usually a colorless and transparent sheet-like crystal. The pure product is a white crystalline solid that is easily soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, and propanol, slightly soluble in ethyl acetate and chloroform, and slightly soluble in benzene. It can be hydrolyzed into acrylic acid in acidic and alkaline environments.
Used as a monomer for polyacrylamide, its polymer or copolymer is used as a chemical grouting substance, soil amendment, flocculant, adhesive, and coating, etc
Polyacrylamide as an additive can improve the recovery rate of petroleum. As a flocculant, it can be used for wastewater treatment and also as a paper reinforcement agent
