1. Performance and use
Colorless cubic crystal. Odorless, with a salty and slightly bitter taste. Soluble in water (with a solubility of 102g/100ml at 100 ℃) and glycerol, slightly soluble in ethanol and ether.
Used as an analytical reagent and developer, as well as in the pharmaceutical industry
Emulsions or formulated contrast agents used for film and photographic film, used as sedatives in medical settings
The photosensitive material industry is used to manufacture photosensitive films, developing agents, film thickeners, toners, and color photo bleaching agents. Used in medicine as a nerve sedative (tribromide tablets). In addition, it is also used as a chemical analysis reagent, for the transmission of spectroscopy and infrared radiation, for the production of special soap, and for carving, lithography, and other purposes.
