1.Performance and use:
It is transparent or semi-transparent tiny particles with porous structure, high specific surface area, high mechanical strength and high silica content. It is non-toxic and odorless. Good thermal stability and acid resistance (except hydrofluoric acid). Soluble in concentrated caustic soda. Strong adsorption effect on water vapor and other gases and solvents.
Used as catalyst carrier for phthalic anhydride, aniline, maleic anhydride, melamine, maleic rubber, acrylonitrile and other important petrochemical products. It is also widely used for refining petrochemical products, removing aromatic hydrocarbons, and selective adsorption and separation of certain organic gases and liquids. It can also be used as ion exchanger for removing polyvalent harmful elements in water. It is also used for drying and storing materials and instruments, and for dewatering and refining high-purity gases. Used instead of ethyl silicate for precision casting to reduce production costs, improve the operating environment and improve product quality.
Used as adhesive for refractory and other materials. It is a coating material to prevent oxidization of certain products.
