Stannous chloride anhydrous is white rhombohedral crystal system. Relative molecular mass 189.60, relative density 3.95(25℃). Melting point 246.5°C. Boiling point 652℃. Stannous chloride is used as a reducing agent, mordant, analytical reagent and dehydrating agent, also used as a catalyst for organic synthesis.
