Molecular formula of hexahydrate ferric chloride: FeCl3.6H2O English name: Ferricchloridehexahydrate, appearance: brownish yellow crystal properties: odorless, astringent, strong hygroscopicity, deliquescence, can deliquescence into reddish brown liquid in air. Highly soluble in water, the aqueous solution is strongly acidic and can cause protein coagulation. Easy to dissolve in ethanol and acetone, also soluble in liquid sulfur dioxide, ethylamine, and aniline, insoluble in glycerol and phosphorus trichloride.
